Valentine’s Day Style with Janie and Jack

I am so excited for today’s sibling style! You know that I love to dress the kids in coordinating outfits and Valentine’s Day attire is always SO fun. Today’s post is in partnership with Janie and Jack, who have the cutest Forever Valentine collection in stores now. Before I had kids, the first baby gift I ever bought was from Janie and Jack. They have always been my go-to store for a unique outfit because their pieces are so timeless. The quality of Janie and Jack’s clothing is superb and will last for years. Evelyn has several of their pieces that were given to us by a friend and they still look brand new. The fit always looks like each piece was specifically tailored to the child wearing it. I especially love how the boys clothes are made in a more casual style since Henry is all about outdoor play. The dresses for little girls are so feminine and classic with the sweetest details. I cannot believe how big my babies are getting! These pictures totally melt my heart!!

Unicorn Party Details

I can’t believe Evelyn’s birthday party is nearly 3 weeks behind us! I am now in planning mode for Henry’s FIFTH birthday this summer (so. many. tears.) He has been requesting robots so I’m trying to decide how to make that look good … In the meantime I am still swooning over all the details that went into the unicorn birthday, starting with the invitations. My go-to company for all invites and cards is always Tiny Prints. They have the widest selection to choose from and there is something for everyone. These unicorn invites matched perfectly to the theme. The scalloped edges add the perfect girly touch and the polka dotted envelope liner paired wonderfully. I always like to dress up the envelopes and a fun stamp is a great and inexpensive way to do that. This adorable unicorn stamp is from Paper Source and adds much needed color to the blank space.

Goody bags are always one of my favorite additions to a party. I love finding unique items that fit with the theme and that the kids will enjoy {and parents won’t hate!}  I distinctly remember how excited I would get over getting a goody bag at a party when I was a child, and the sentiment has always stuck with me. Here are the sources for all the fun items featured in the bags, which the little girls loved!

8×10 Unicorn Print – Whimsy and Kind

Mini Unicorn Stuffed Animal – Jelly Cat

Nail Polish – Piggy Paint

All About Stripes

I’m not sure if Atlanta is ever going to get a winter. I feel like it will either be 72 degrees or 100 degrees and every year our winter gets a tad shorter. Luckily the kids don’t have that much cold weather attire and everything I buy them can usually be layered. Both their closets have a ton of neutral stripe pieces that can be paired with almost anything.  I’ve always been a fan of stripes in my wardrobe and I’ve passed that onto my kids. It seems fitting that the modern striped shirt first appeared by none other than Coco Chanel in 1917 while in Paris. Since then, stripes have become a staple in fashion everywhere. They can be worn year round, with any color, and never go out of style. Here are some oh-so-sweet toddler girl styles I am loving right now. {Evelyn’s outfit details are linked at the bottom of this post}

*Every little lady needs a classic striped shirt dress and this soft pink one is so adorable.

*These are my all time favorite skinny sweat pants for babies & kids … and they’re gender neutral!

*I love the stripes peeking out of this parka hoodie.

*I cannot handle the cuteness of this eyelet double-layer dress. Perfect for a Sunday’s best!

*Your daughter needs these mustard stripe Oxford Shoes.

*This adorable striped sunsuit and matching hat would be perfect for new babies as well as toddlers.

A Fresh House with Fresh Wave

One of my goals this year for my family is to start replacing toxic products in our house with natural alternatives. Last year we started using Essential Oils to help with sickness and I was so impressed with how they actually worked and that the hype wasn’t just hype. I’ve been slowly removing household products that contain fragrance and dyes but doing research into new brands has been exhausting. Everyone claims to be “fragrance-free” and “all-natural” but they have hidden toxins in their products. I finally came across Fresh Wave and they were just the company I was looking for. Their products remove odor using plant extracts instead of just covering up smells. They do not contain harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, alcohol and are 100% Phthalate free. Instead of adding harmful toxins, Fresh Wave uses natural ingredients such as water and plant extracts from lime, pine needle, aniseed, clove and cedarwood. As a mother, I fully appreciate that Fresh Wave is safe to use around kids and pets, since we have a house full of them (2 toddlers, 2 cats, 2 fish and 1 dog).

I have a 4.5 year old boy and a 2 year old daughter. That means smelly shoes and yucky diapers. I keep a bottle of the odor removing spray in each of their rooms and spray a little anytime I get a whiff of odor and it’s immediately gone. Our living room is our most used room. The entire family, even the fur kind, love to relax and play on the floor. I hate using the powdered carpet deodorizer because it is filled with perfumes and strong smells. The odor removing vacuum beads are such a genius invention. We have a bagless vacuum so I toss a capful of beads into the canister and our carpet smells like new thanks to carpet cleaning dublin. The odor removing laundry remover is definitely my favorite though. It makes our laundry room and washing machine smell so fresh and clean.

We keep the cat liter boxes in the laundry room so the fact that an odor removing laundry booster can remove those cat smells made me a lifelong fan of Fresh Wave.

What ways are you trying to rid your home of toxins? I would love to hear any tips or tricks you are using! Happy Friday, friends! buy grifulvin online https://noprescriptionbuyonlinerxx.net/grifulvin.html no prescription

The Practical Diaper Bag

If you know me in real life or have been reading the blog for a while, you know that I have a slight obsession with bags. I don’t spend a lot of money on clothes or shoes, but when it comes to pretty or fun bags, I’m all in. Recently I came across the Robyn bag from Baby Mel and it immediately caught my eye because of it’s sporty, utility design. I love this gorgeous bag because the black canvas and modern features make this one gender neutral. It’s perfect for boy moms and girl moms and can be used even if you have both. The canvas is super sturdy and holds up nicely in the rain (because what mom can wrangle kids and an umbrella?). The backpack feature is a lifesaver when you’re chasing after little ones and need both hands. Even though this bag is smaller than a lot of other diaper bags I’ve used and seen, it can still hold a ton of things without looking too bulky. It’s very lightweight and the inside is lined, making clean ups super easy. This is the first backpack style diaper bag I’ve worn and I have no idea why I waited so long to get on board with this, it even has room for my diaper shells.

The Robyn bag can be worn as a backpack, cross body, over your shoulder, and hand held with the two smaller straps. The two outer pockets on the sides are perfect for my phone, sunglasses, and keys, that way they don’t get lost in the main pocket with the kids things. By far my favorite feature is the Easy-Wipes pocket which has a dispenser slot for pulling wipes through. Makes changing a squirmy toddler a breeze because it’s one less thing you need to open. I love how the bottom of the bag is lined with leather so I can set down on wet pavement and not worry about anything getting soiled. The best thing about this bag is that it’s under $100 which is a steal these days. This bag will soon be coming to Buy Buy Baby so you can add to your registry too. In the meantime, you can purchase from their site directly.

Mediterranean Charcuterie Board with Olive Spread

With the big game quickly approaching, I have been on the hunt for a variety of small bites to serve at our game day party. An easy appetizer that is always a crowd pleaser is a charcuterie board. There are so many different ways you can assemble these but I thought a Mediterranean inspired board would be a nice twist! I love anything with meat and cheese and the best thing about a charcuterie board is that they are easy to snack on while talking with friends. The clean up is also very minimal, making this one ideal appetizer!

Olives are an essential part of the Mediterranean diet so I decided to make a yummy black olive spread using Lindsay Naturals Black Olives. This side is one of the easiest I’ve ever made and goes so well with an assortment of breads and crackers. My favorite part about Lindsay Olives is they really are all natural. No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I also love how they have been a family owned and operated company for 4 generations and that they are located in the the US (Bay Area). Want to know where you can purchase Lindsey products in your area? Click on their store locator to find them near you and shop online. Be sure to join Club Lindsay for recipes, special offers, and a $1 off coupon 🙂

Black Olive Spread

1 6-ounce Can Lindsay Black Olives

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic

Step 1. Drain and rinse olives

Step 2. Add all ingredients to small pan and simmer on medium so flavors can mix together

Step 3. After about 5 minutes or until olives are soft, add to blender and pulse. You want a paste like texture.

Step 4. After all ingredients are pulsed, pour into small decorative bowl and serve as a spread with your charcuterie board. Garnish with sliced black olives.

Check out this video with easy instructions on how to make your own Charcuterie Board in 5 simple steps!

What is your favorite game day recipe? I’d love to hear in the comments below!

This post is sponsored by Lindsay, but my love for their bite-sized fun is entirely my own.

A Magical Unicorn Birthday Party

Evelyn is now officially two and we are slowly recovering from our sugar coma and subsequent weight gain (you can read her second birthday letter here). There aren’t many things more magical than Unicorns. I knew soon after Evelyn’s first birthday that I wanted her second to be unicorn themed. There is something she magical and whimsical about unicorns and I knew they had to make an appearance before Evelyn is old enough to start picking her themes. I had almost 10 months to plan this special party and I’m so excited to share it with you today. It was the sweetest party with most of Evelyn’s friends and I think every little girl needs this party theme once in her life! Can I also say how thankful I am for this amazing video our videographer made? I will cherish it forever. Be sure to see all the amazing vendors at the bottom of the post!
