5 Last Minute Gifts for Men & Women!

Where did 2016 go? Christmas is in 11 days and I can’t possibly wrap my head around everything I have left to do. If you’re anything like me, you still have some shopping left. Nearly everything in todays post can be purchased on Amazon or the sites have delivery before Christmas!
Nature’s Kindle Candles – Handmade in California, these hand-crafted soy candles are some of the best smelling on the market today. My favorites are the Campfire, Coffee Shop, and Apple Cinnamon. Everything is under $30 and they have several smaller sizes available. These are perfect stocking stuffer ideas, especially for the men in your life!
Daniel Wellington Watch – I recently received one of these watches and I was blown away by the clean, modern look. Typically I don’t like bulky bracelets or watches but this one is lightweight and the perfect size. They offer classic styles for both men and women and are simple enough to be worn every day. Aside from sold in stores you can also find them on Amazon and take advantage of the prime shipping before Christmas!
S’well ‘Sparkling Champagne’ Stainless Steel Water Bottle – These water bottles are available in 36 colors and three sizes. They keep your drink cold for 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. It’s the ideal gift idea for anyone who’s constantly at the office or on the road. I love the champagne color for women and the Onyx for men. You can also find these on Amazon for quick shipping!
Weekend Bag – It’s always fun to start the year off with a new bag for future travel. I love a great duffle or weekend bag because they are usually gender neutral and can fit so much stuff. They’re perfect for a short road trip or as a carry on. Lately I have been loving my StorkSak Cabin Carry on and cannot wait to use it for our Austin trip in two months!
Cross Pens – My mother has always had the most beautiful handwriting and she even addressed all of our wedding invitations! She can also be hard to shop for so I knew this pen from Cross Pens would make the most beautiful gift. This holiday season my brother and I wanted to get her something she could cherish every day that brought her happiness. I love how @crosspens engraved our names on the pen so we would always be on her mind (as if we weren’t already!) They also have complimentary engraving so you can add that special touch. If my dad were still with us, I know he would have loved this pen. Even with having a computer and a smart phone, he still used old fashioned pen and paper all the time. Every time I see a nice ballpoint pen, I think of him.
Still stuck for ideas? Gadgets are always a popular gifting option. Take a look at this fun guide filled with gadgets for men over on the Coolest Gadgets site. Do you have any go-to gifts you swear by? Leave them in the comments below!

Unique Christmas Gifts for Girls

1. Ice Cream Stand – Tenderleaf Toys is one of my favorite websites for unique gifts. I featured their parking garage in my gift guide for boys. This colorfully painted wooden ice cream stand is perfect for little hands and big imaginations. It encourages imitative play, social skills, communication skills and promotes dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance. I know Evelyn will get a lot of use out of this over the next few years!
2. Lovey – Evelyn is obsessed with her muslin swaddle blankets but they are becoming too big for her to be dragging around now that she’s older. She seriously reminds me of Lunis sometimes and I cringe thinking about how many germs get on those blankets. Blankets make great gifts. There are even websites like getphotoblanket.com now, where you can create personalized photo blanket. I’ve been on a mission to find her a smaller lovey that is easier to carry around and doesn’t get so dirty. Enter Bearcubs Co. At 17″x17″, these loveys are the perfect size for your growing toddler. They are so soft and snuggly and fit perfectly in a diaper bag. I am obsessed with this classic Christmas print and think it would be an amazing gift for babies first Christmas. And let’s talk about this monogram toddler blanket. How sweet is that E? If you’re ordering for Christmas, be sure to get your orders in by December 1!
3. A not so typical baby doll – Bash Petite Dolls hand makes each of their unique dolls in Connecticut. Their creative use of patterns and colors make for gorgeous, one of a kind dolls. I first discovered them on Instagram and spent a good 15 minutes scrolling through their incredible gallery of beautiful dolls. If you are interested in any of these amazing dolls or even something more, message them on Etsy or Instagram and they can help you. Be sure to mention code HENEV10 for 10% off! {good until 2.28.17}
4. Kid Friendly iPhone holder – Even though we try and limit screen time, sometimes we do give in. It’s hard for our kids to sit still while waiting for dinner and there are days when I really need a shower … so the iPad or phone wins. This adorable furry stuffed animal by PawdPet is more than just a cuddle buddy. It has a magnetic belly so the phone sticks to it, preventing damage. There is a pocket in the bag and it has a carry strap. I have to say that this is one of the most genius products that has come out this year.
5. Building Blocks – These are definitely gender neutral but since I have an almost two year old daughter, they are going in my girl gift guide. Smiling Tree Toys handcraft each of their toys in Minnesota. I love that you can get most of their items personalized. One of my favorite items of theirs is this custom name puzzle. Evelyn has really been into animals and letters. For some reason she thinks every letter she sees is an A. She is constantly yelling out “an A! an A!” These Picture Alphabet Blocks will be perfect for her to learn the alphabet.
Can you believe that Christmas is in just under a month? Where has the time gone! Have you done all of your shopping or are you late to the game like me?

Dear Grace & Parker Bows

My love for cute bows and headbands is no secret. Evelyn practically came out of the womb with a headband on. I think that is why she doesn’t mind wearing them, she probably thinks they are just another extremity. I love finding bows that are comfortable, affordable and that coordinate with a variety of outfits. Accessorizing Evelyn’s outfits with cute headbands is one of my favorite things about having a girl.

Instagram and Etsy are my go to for finding unique headbands and accessories. A few weeks ago I stumbled upon Dear Grace and Parker, they make the cutest and most beautiful bows. The nylon headbands and clips are so well constructed and sturdy. When Evelyn throws a tantrum, she always pulls her bows and headbands off to really let me know she’s angry (ha!) and they have held up wonderfully.

Dear Grace & Parker has a vast assortment of fabric options and styles. I love this mini party hat, so perfect for New Years Eve, and once Evelyn has more hair you can be sure I’m getting these bitty glitter clips. What I love most about Dear Grace & Parker is that there is something for everyone. Whether you are shopping for a friend’s newborn or have young daughters, there is something for all ages.

I love to include little bow sets when I attend a baby shower or birthday, and these make the perfect additions. The attention to detail will not go unnoticed. Do you have a bow or headband shop that you love? Let me know in the comments!
*Dear Grace & Parker provided me with these headbands free of charge. As always, all opinions expressed are my own*

June & January Sibling Style {pt. 2}

With Fall just around the corner (fingers crossed) that means I’m already dreaming about Halloween and all things black and white. I know I’m not the only parent who starts planning their children’s costumes in August, right? RIGHT? As mentioned last week in my sibling style post, June & January has the best coordinating pieces for siblings. I’ve always loved black and white pieces since they can be worn with pretty much any color. When I saw the “Get Me A Taco” shirt on Instagram, I had to have it for Henry. It’s no secret that this boy loves Mexican food. The swing dress that Evelyn has on can easily transition into fall by being paired with a cardigan and tights. This 2T is a tad long on her now but that just means she can grow into it and wear it longer. Styling the dress with different colored tights and fun cardigans will make it seem like new again.

Here’s to the last full week in August! I am not sorry to say goodbye to another hot and humid month here in Atlanta and I’m basically counting the days until the PSL returns. #sobasic
Happy Monday!

Five Things Friday: Educational Toys {Age 4}

Henry’s favorite toys at this age are legos, transformers, and trucks. All things that his sister wants nothing to do with, besides eating the lego heads. These are also all toys which we have so many of and make constant sounds. If I step on one more transformer at 5am going down the dark stairs I just may burn them all. All kidding aside, while I love that Henry gets so much joy out of these toys, I also want him to learn how to get enjoyment out of toys that don’t come from a TV show and have flashing lights. I’ve rounded up my top 5 educational toys for you today!

Miniature Bowling Set – This is such a fantastic game for the bigger kids (3 and up). Henry can play this for 30+ minutes at a time which helps me unload the dishwasher and tidy the living room before daddy gets home! The pins and ball come in their own muslin bag and are hand carved and waxed. This set would make an awesome baby shower gift and can be used as decor until children are old enough to play with it.

Wooden Toy Camera – My children have had cameras shoved in their face since they came into this world. It’s just how I am. I photograph everything and love to document our lives. Henry has picked up my habits and pretends to take pictures of our animals, his legos, and our family. This play wooden camera can be customized with your child’s name on the back too, making it another great gift or stocking stuffer.

Fabric Letters & Numbers – This set is fantastic for preschoolers who are starting to recognize their letters and also learning to spell. All the letters and number come in a cute bag which is perfect for road trips or sleepovers at grandmas house. I love how each letter has a different pattern and that they’re soft. We are starting to teach Henry how to spell basic 3 letter words and these are a great tool.

Pawtoo Toys – This company offers an array or organic and natural wooden toys. Henry loves the Jigsaw Elephant Puzzle and the Lacing Cheese. They both help to calm and focus his mind if he is having a meltdown or hulking into a fournager. I love that these are also gender neutral so Evelyn can use down the road. Not to mention they are handmade in the USA and inspire creative play.

Wooden Peg Figures – Like most little boys, Henry is obsessed with superheroes. It’s so funny that he knows all their names even though he has never watched Iron Man or Captain America. Pegs n’ Things offers any kind of figurine you could imagine. They all get handpainted, making no two alike. Henry loves taking his Batman and Spiderman with him everywhere he goes and insists that they need to watch him use the bathroom so they too can become potty trained.
How crazy is it that there is only a week and a half left in August? Not that I am complaining because that means Fall is right around the corner. Here’s to soaking up all that summer time this weekend! Happy Friday!

Grace Mabel Skincare

Fewer things are more important that what we put into and onto our children’s bodies. When I was pregnant with Henry, I became obsessed with finding the best products to use on him. Over the years there has been a wave of new skincare brands that have hit the market. The latest one to catch my eye has been Grace Mabel. I love how the ingredients are all natural and plant based. The products, bottles, and packaging are made in the USA, just near Seattle. Not only are they gluten, soy, and dairy free but Grace Mabel never use toxins, harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, colors or dyes. Could you ask for a more child-friendly product? The bottles are also BPA free and they never ever test on animals. I cannot tell you how much I love supporting small businesses that really value my children as if they were their own.

The Cuddle Collection Pack is great for children of all ages and would make an excellent baby shower gift. It comes with the Delicate Mint Cuddle Rub, Tender Tulip Baby Cream, and Tender Tulip Shampoo & Body Wash. The mint cuddle rub smells amazing I use it before bed since it helps to promote healthy digestion, sleep, and circulation. The lotions are all light and non-greasy which is perfect for putting on before clothing. I cannot tell you how many pajamas and shirts I have ruined ith super oily creams and rubs. Grace Mabel also has a Lavender Lotion Bar which can be used on mom and baby skin for chapped lips or cheeks, scrapes, burns, and rashes. Lavender is by far my favorite essential oil so anytime I see a product which uses it, I am intrigued.

You can find Grace Mabel online or via their social accounts: Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. Thank you to Grace Mabel for sending these amazing products for my littles to use. As always, all opinions expressed are my own. I hope everyone has an amazing Wednesday!

Boho Baby Style

I’ve always loved the boho look for women and lately it seems like the trend has made it’s way down to toddler girls and babies. Trust me, I am not complaining. The fringe rompers, gladiator sandals, and Aztec prints pretty much are the cutest thing a baby girl can wear. I love the modern print and bright colors of this Pom Pom Romper. It fits Evelyn perfectly and the criss-cross straps in the back are so adorable. If your little one has outgrown the bubble stage, it also comes in the cutest crop top I have ever seen. I seriously want to commission Hip Little Monsters to make one in my size. You know I love supporting small shops and once again, all items featured in today’s post are made in the USA.

These adorable gladiator sandals are by Scarlett Rubies and the brown goes with so many pieces in Evelyn’s wardrobe. The leather is very thick and durable and since they run big, they will last a while.  Readers can save 15% with the code CHANEL15. Living in Atlanta, we have warm weather a good six + months out of the year so I’m always on the lookout for styles that I won’t get sick of after a month. This sun suit from Miss Molly June Designs is the perfect summer two piece. I love the high-waisted bloomers with ruffle and the cute little halter tie. The bloomers can easily transition to fall over some knit tights and a onesie/tee and cardigan.

In other news, Henry started Pre-K today at our local elementary school and it went easier than expected. I plan on doing an update next week. Happy Monday, friends! xo
