Five Things Friday: Pink Love

Happy Friday! We are so ready for the weekend and I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is Sunday! We have two birthday parties tomorrow and then my husband and I will hopefully find some time to ourselves on Sunday. In honor of the holiday weekend, I am sharing a few of my latest pink obsessions. I’m loving all the lace up flats I’ve been seeing and a light blush color is perfect for spring. I’m also pretty sure I need those sunglasses (hint hint hubby). I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend! Easy Valentine’s

This year Henry is way more into giving out Valentine’s cards than he was last year. We went to Target and Hobby Lobby, just the two of us, and he picked out his box and cards to give to his friends. (He chose Paw Patrol of course). The box came blank with a cut out already for cards from Hobby Lobby. It was much easier than last year when apparently I didn’t know these existed. Henry loved decorating with assorted stickers and he told me where to place the letters and I glued them on. We will be using this for his school and playgroup parties.
We made two sets of Valentine’s since he is going to two parties this week. For his classmates we assembled boy and girl bags. Everything came from Target, of course, and included sunglasses, stickers, tattoos, coloring pads and crayons. I am a party bag hoarder so I had all the bags already. The berry baskets are from my favorite online store, Shop Sweet Lulu.

For his playgroup we did something similar and separated boys and girls. The boys and girls got the same goodies as his classmates. Henry loved stuffing all the goody bags for his friends and was so excited. He would say all their names afterwards with such a big smile on his face. “This one is for my best friend Roman!” and “This one is for my best buddy Gavin!” buy neurontin online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/neurontin.html no prescription

My mommy friends are each getting the sugar scrub I made last week. I added a little gift tag from the Target dollar spot.

Henry’s teacher also got the sugar scrub, some pencils, candy, tissues and a teacher emergency kit.
Henry is at such a fun age this year and he is really getting into all the holidays.

Valentine’s Style

With Valentine’s Day less than a week away I’m taking full advantage of all things red and pink. Evelyn has a few Valentine’s rompers and dresses which are cute but I love putting together a unique outfit for holidays and special occasions. Instagram is my go to place for finding the best handmade small shops. There are so many unique options available and there is something for everyone. Two shops I am loving right now are Glitter + Wit and Little Scouts Co. You know I’ve always been a fan of graphic t’s for Henry and LSC has a ton of fun ones to choose from. How cute is this cat’s meow shirt? Aside from the cutest socks I’ve ever seen, Glitter + Wit also makes adorable crowns and clothing. I can’t wait to add some of these to Evie’s dress up collection. Now for your daily dose of chubby baby legs in knee high socks! buy norvasc online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/norvasc.html no prescription
 I purchased matching converse for her and Henry to wear because who says brother and sister can’t twin sometimes? Converse is a staple for Henry and is pretty much all he wears as his everyday shoe. They are my most recommended boy item to new moms of boys. buy nootropil online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/nootropil.html no prescription

Unicorn Love

Please tell me I’m not crazy for already selecting a theme for my daughters second birthday. In case you missed all the horns, it’s unicorn themed. Everywhere I look I am being bombarded with unicorn everything. buy prevacid online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/prevacid.html no prescription

Evelyn 12 month update + favorites

It’s hard to believe that I won’t be taking any more monthly pictures since Evelyn is now almost 13 months. It’s kind of a relief because she never wants to lay flat and I don’t know what I was thinking having her lay on her back for the monthly photos. I should have propped her up in a chair like I did with Henry but I must have been in a daze those first few months thinking she would easily lay down forever. Yeah right. She has just learned how to dance and it’s been the cutest thing. She basically just bounces and shakes her head to the side (think Night at the Roxbury). She is a little busy bug and is constantly on the move: wondering all over the house, opening and shutting drawers and rearranging the food pantry. She reminds me a lot of her brother at this age. Overall she’s a wonderful baby and has been super easy. I definitely have knocked a million knocks on wood.

Age: 12 months, 3 weeks {I’ve been a total slacker on this last update}
Stats: 22 pounds, 6 ounces (66 %), 30 inches long (72 %), 47 cm head circumference (91%)
Clothes: Still fitting into some 6-12 month. Most 12-18 month dresses are too long however she’s in 18 month pants because of her big round belly. Size 4 in shoes and diapers.
Sleep: Great! Still taking 2-3 naps a day while sleeping 12-13 hours a night. She’s an early bird like her brother was at this age but I’ll take getting up at 5:30 am it since you go to bed at 5pm.
Speech: She babbles all day long. Her first word was baby which is just the cutest thing. She also says mama, dada, yaya and ni-ni for night night.
Favorite Foods: Peas, Shredded Cheese, Yogurt, Oatmeal, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Bananas … this chick pretty much loves everything under the sun. She eats like a freaking champ and never turns down food. I’ve given her tons of different things and so far no allergies have come up which is amazing. She has to be eating anytime we are at the store and it’s the only way I can accomplish my shopping, just like her brother!
Least Favorite Foods: Blueberries are the only thing she has refused to eat.
Favorite Things: Mickey Mouse Club House, Kittens, our dogs bed, Pacis, Food, my sock drawer and this weird nursery rhyme channel on our Roku TV where the ladies singing have a very strong Russian accent. If you follow me on snapchat, you know what I am talking about. buy propecia online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/propecia.html no prescription
Least Favorite Things: When Henry or our kitten is sitting on my lap or I’m holding them (she get’s very jealous).

Toys: There hasn’t been anything that she is absolutely drawn to. She plays with Henry’s Paw Patrol figures just as she will play with a rattle or baby doll. Like I mentioned above, she really just loves to walk around the house and explore things that are not toys.
{You can read more about her welcome home story and 1st, 2nd, 6th and 9th month updates. Not sure what happened to all the other months but you can just attribute that to mom life}

Valentine’s Day Sugar Scrub

Today I’m sharing a super easy and quick Valentine’s Day sugar scrub. These are great for teacher favors, grandparents and in my case, mommy friends. I love the invigorating smell of the peppermint essential oil which is perfect to give you a jump start while taking your morning shower (even if you only get 5 minutes before the baby starts crying). I cannot wait to try this when the kids go down for nap today!
Ingredients:
2-3 Tablespoons Almond Oil
1 Tablespoon or 3 Capsules Vitamin E Oil
Combine all dry ingredients in medium size mixing bowl and stir together with a whisk. Add in all oils and stir until wet and dry are evenly combined. Add in 1-2 drops of the pink food coloring and fold together with spatula. Once food coloring is all mixed in, disperse evenly into small mason jars. I ended up needing a bit more cane sugar which I added at the end after I decided my scrub wasn’t coarse enough.
Each batch filled 5, 4 ounce mason jars, but you could make larger servings if only making a few. In my case I needed to make 20 so I just repeated the recipe four times. There you have it! So simple and it only took me 30 minutes from start to finish. I was able to make it while the kids were eating breakfast and watching Mickey Mouse Club House (thank you, Disney!)

Weekend Wrap Up

As usual we are so bummed that our weekend and family time is over. We had a lot of fun together and took advantage of the great weather. We headed down to the the High Museum of Art for our first stop on Saturday. The kids have never been to the museum before and Henry definitely loved it (especially running up the ramps to the top floor). They have a kids room which was all decked out with Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive the Bus actives and books. We have been reading those books to Henry lately so he got a huge kick out of seeing the bus in real life. I can’t wait to take them back in April when the Eric Carle exhibit is going on!

After the museum we headed to Piedmont Park so the kids could run out some energy since they had to be so collected and quiet in the museum. The park was definitely a popular spot since the weather was so nice but after Henry decided to jump in a huge muddle of mud and get his shoes soaking wet we thought it would be best to grab some lunch (and booze). We have drove past Henry’s in midtown on numerous occasions and always wanted to go there for obvious reasons and Henry loved it. He kept telling the staff and patrons that his name was also Henry and then spelled it for everyone. The food was incredible and we will definitely be going back. buy singulair online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/singulair.html no prescription

On Sunday we ventured out to Mac Lab Bakery, which is known for their beautiful and tasty macarons. I had come across them on instagram and was pleasantly surprised they were close to us. We got there right when they opened which seems to be the norm when you have kids. The last thing you want to do is show up when a place is packed and you have a toddler and baby screaming and throwing food on the ground. Needless to say they were all amazing (and they are all gluten free and non GMO). The Nutella was my favorite of course and it was hard to pick one. If you are in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend checking them out, you will not be disappointed. buy symbicort online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/symbicort.html no prescription
