Mishqua Bag Review

A few months ago I was introduced to Mishqua Handbags and Accessories by a friend. After visiting their website and looking through products it’s no wonder why I fell in love with everything they offer. Mishqua, named for the creator and owner, sells bags, scarves, sunglasses and fun temporary tattoos (perfect for a girls beach trip!)

The Merlot Satchel carries like a small handbag but can fit so much more. I recently brought it on my trip to Portland where it rained most of the time and the water didn’t affect the bag one bit. Less is definitely more when traveling and I didn’t want to bring along a big bulky bag especially when I wouldn’t be carrying sippy cups, wipes or diapers. I was able to fit my camera, makeup, water bottle and wallet. The color is that of a fine red wine and pairs well with everything in my closet. I tend to wear a lot of black and this bag adds just the right amount of color to any outfit without going overboard.

The craftsmanship on this bag is excellent. I’ve been using it non stop for the past 8 weeks and it’s held up wonderfully with no signs of wear or tear. It is made from vegan leather and features a beautiful floral lined interior which adds the perfect pop of color. There is also a zippered closure which is excellent if you’re carrying around a camera, iPad or other expensive items that you don’t want everyone seeing and it also protects valuables from nasty weather. Speaking of cameras and iPads, this bag can carry my Nikon, tablet, wallet, baby wipes. sunglasses and body splash and I still have room for more.

There are 3 exterior pockets: two on the front side and one in the back middle. I always keep my phone in the back one (I have the iPhone 6 Plus and it fits just fine) and smaller items which tend to get lost in a big section go in the front two pockets: chapstick, breath mints, hand sanitizer and sunglasses. There is also a detachable shoulder strap which I haven’t used yet but I love that the option is there.

Nom Nom Necklaces Review

Oh to be a teething baby. My heart goes out to all the little ones experiencing this. I can’t even imagine being in so much pain and not being able to express to someone how I feel. Poor Evelyn has SIX teeth coming in, include four molars, one on each side (top and bottom) of her mouth. Needless to say my usually happy baby has been pretty miserable. She wants to chew on everything from my toes to the couch. She also wants to be held. A lot. So even though we own several teethers and they do provide relief, it’s hard to hold her and the teethers while we are out and about because she will constantly drop them.

Monday Outfit of the Day

Happy second day of Spring! It feels a little funny saying that since the temp was 37 degrees when I woke up this morning and is still a bit cold. However I was happy for the colder weather because it means Evelyn finally can wear her Childhoods dress which she got for Christmas! I purchased the 12-18 month size and luckily it runs pretty big so she can enjoy it well into Fall and it’s lightweight enough to wear on chilly Spring mornings as well. They also have great pullovers for boys and 90% of their items are all unisex.

I have been a fan of Childhoods skinny sweats since right before Evelyn was born. They make the softest and most comfortable clothing for babies, kids and even adults. Monday Outfit of the Day

This Monday has been a tough one. I took the red eye home from Portland last night and got zero sleep on the flight. I feel like I’ll be recovering for a month (hashtag I’m getting old). Luckily I had two little balls of sunshine greeting me this morning and the Atlanta weather has turned out to be similar to what Portland was having so it’s kind of like still being there 🙂

Today’s outfit post features Vivis Jewels. I had my eye on the swan romper for weeks last year before purchasing it and I am so glad I did. The size I bought was 6-12 months and at 14 months, Evelyn can still wear it. The adjustable straps are perfect for growing with your baby or toddler. Happy Wednesday! Things have been pretty busy around here. I’m gearing up for my Portland girls trip so I’ve been doing tons of running around this week. We also just finished the kids fort under the basement stairs and it looks pretty awesome. If you follow me on snapchat (chanel.m3) you have seen some sneak peeks. I’ll be posting more pictures next week with it all decked out. Let’s just say the Target Pillowfort Collection will be making a ton of appearances.

Some things I’m currently loving lately:

Rosewater Body Splash. I picked this up at my local Whole Foods a few months ago after smelling it and falling in love with the scent right away. I bought a few extra bottles and keep one in my person, on my bedside table and bathroom. I spray it in my hair when its wet so it smells good all day.

This Merlot satchel. I love how beautiful the color is and the inside is a bright floral print. I have been using this for everything since it’s not too bulky and surprisingly fits a ton of things. I will be doing a “What’s in my bag?” post later this month featuring this bag and all that can fit in it. Bonus, it’s on sale!

For all my preggo boy mamas, how cute is this swiss cross crib sheet? In my other life I would have totally decorated my whole house, including kids rooms, in just black and white.

This sweet off the shoulder top will be perfect for our hot Atlanta summers, which I totally despise.

Hello and happy Monday friends! The sun is shining and it is a beautiful day here in Atlanta, which is great because I have a ton of things to cross of my list before going out of town. Why is it that getting ready for a vacation feels like a full time job? Perhaps to make us appreciate the time we get away that much more 🙂 This sweet romper featured today is from Girl with a Twirl Boutique out of Minnesota. I loved this romper the second I saw it. I was torn between that and these beautiful bright dresses which remind me of colored Easter eggs.
