Monochrome Gifts for the Modern Baby!

My love for monochrome knows no bounds. I love black and white for many reasons but mostly because it never goes out of style. It’s trendy and classy and everything made looks good in those two colors. I am always on the lookout for unique gifts to share with you and I have found some great items for you today. If you are a mom to be looking for items to register for, or shopping for a baby shower, these monochrome goodies are for you!

Ju-Ju-Be Diaper Bag – The print on this is what first attracted me. This is not your typical diaper bag or backpack. The slimming design is modern and sleek and incredibly spacious, without being too bulky. It’s also ergonomically curved with padded shoulder straps. The bag adjusts easily and can fit everything you need since there are so many pockets. It also has a fabric protector to help protect stains. This backpack will carry you through those early newborn months well into the toddler years.
Parasol Diapers – Not only are these diapers so cute with all the fun prints, but they actually do the job. Evelyn has never experienced any leaks or blowouts in these and she can even wear them at night. The diapers are chlorine free, fragrance-free and contain no lotions, making them ideal for soft baby skin! You can learn more about their testing and high standards here
Modern Baby Bib – I have never been a fan of baby bibs. Neither one of my kids were every drooly babies and until recently baby bibs were not cute. They had monkeys on them with silly sayings and looked awful when put over a cute outfit. My how that has changed. There has been a wave of adorable handmade shops coming out with unique designs that actually enhance your babies outfit. One of my new favorite shops is Indigo Bloom. A portion of their proceeds are donated to Direct Relief International, which is a nonprofit that focuses on “improving the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies.” How amazing is that? I just love supporting shops that give back. All of their bibs are handmade with the cutest fabrics around! They are also offering free shipping with code CHANELFREESHIP
Addison Belle Swaddle Blanket – Henry, who is almost 4.5, was never a fan of swaddle blankets. He took more a liking to his animal loveys. When I found out I was pregnant with Evelyn, I assumed she would be the same (not sure why I would think that, it’s not like they’re robots). Anyway, I received a few muslin swaddle blankets at my shower and it turns out, she loved them. It doesn’t even matter what brand the swaddle is, it’s the breathable muslin material she likes. Addison Belle offers organic muslin swaddles and toddler blankets in the cutest patterns and they come packaged nicely in boxes or wrapped with ribbon. All swaddles are currently on sale so be sure to stock up!
The Mama Tribe Teething Necklaces – If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that Evelyn has been getting her two-year molars in. It’s been so hard on her and she has been in a lot of pain. She has been very clingy and wants to be held for like 23 hours a day. To combat these issues, I have been wearing these teething necklaces non stop. They definitely have been providing her with relief. If you don’t have a teething baby, these stylish necklaces look great on and you wouldn’t even be able to tell they’re meant for little ones.
Raccoon Burp Cloth – Young & Free Apparel sells primarily clothing but they have the cutest burp cloths in the world. I love that they’re gender neutral and super soft and absorbent. They are 100% cotton made out of terry cloth so they don’t irritate your babies delicate skin. If you are wanting a unique gift for a mom to be, this is a must. Be sure to use code MYFIRSTORDER for 20% off your first purchase!
Round Floor Blanket – This modern striped blanket is ideal for babies that can’t quite crawl around yet. You can pack it in your bag for a trip to the park or the beach. It’s made out of 100% organic cotton so it’s super soft. The Spunky Stork offers some of my favorite black and white looks. Be sure check out their adorable little girl clothes too.

Bloom + Kind Baby Wipes

Happy Friday, everyone! Can someone please tell me where October has gone? I cannot believe my favorite month of the year is almost over. We have some exciting things going on this weekend: tickets to Taste of Atlanta on Sunday and a Halloween parade on Saturday. It’s is going to be filled with a ton of candy, hayrides, farm animals, etc. My kids are going to get filthy so I will be bringing my must have item that I can’t leave home without, baby wipes. I usually always forget diapers, but never baby wipes. Today I am sharing my love for a new brand of wipes which I know you will equally love.

Bloom & Kind Co. creates products in the USA that are safe for baby and easy on the planet. Their wipes are made from natural fibers, are produced using wind energy, biodegradable, and are never tested on animals. Their facility is also nut, wheat, and gluten free. The soft packaging comes in handy when fitting into a diaper bag and the opening easily opens and closes while keeping the wipes fresh. They are effective for diaper changes and extremely durable for wiping my kids’ hands and face. They have an excellent coverage area and don’t rip like other brands. buy lipitor online no prescription

Like most mothers, I am a stickler for what products I use on my kids.  Babies skin is more delicate and prone to dryness, so I love products that are moisturizing. I appreciate that Bloom + Kind wipes contain no perfumes and are safe for rash and eczema prone skin. They also last forever! I have been using this box 640 wipes for over 2 months now. Since the wipes are so large, I really only need 1 or 2 per diaper change, which is amazing since no one wants to spend a ton of money on something that goes in the trash. buy nexium online no prescription
Conveniently, you can purchase these at your local Target or on Amazon (genius move, since us moms live for Prime and Target). If you have already tried Bloom + Kind, let me know your thoughts the comments below! buy nootropil online no prescription

Newborn Must Haves

I am so excited to share all these must-haves for a new baby today. They make me almost want to have another one. ALMOST. I am giving away some of my favorite items that are essential to those first few newborn months. Everything is gender neutral so they will work for anyone who enters. Without further delay, let’s get to it!

Finn + Emma make the sweetest and softest clothes. They use only the finest 100% organic cotton and eco-friendly dyes. Everything is produced in fair trade settings that focus on economic independence, especially for women, so that they can provide for their families in a safe and fair environment.  They offer a wide range of gender neutral options and all their toys are made with natural wood. buy abilify online no prescription

Milestone Baby Cards – Oh how I wish these were around when my babies were small! This set of 30 unique cards can be used to capture your babies first year in memorable moments. The cards are printed on thick card stock and can be framed or placed in a baby book after the first year is up. This is currently my go-to gift for all new moms!

DockATot was created to mimic the womb and its comforting environment has helped many babies suffering from reflux or colic. It has a breathable mattress pad with air flow, in addition to all parts being 100% breathable, making it safe for when babies start to move around. The DockATot is wonderful for safe co-sleeping, play time, supervised naps or tummy time, or just a comfortable spot for your baby to relax in. All parts are fully washable and have exchangeable covers that you can order to suit your style. buy amoxicillin online no prescription

All Lovely Made wooden teether with silicone beads. Around 4 months, babies start doing more with their hands. They will grab anything within their reach (including your hair. OUCH) This small elephant is the perfect size for tiny hands and it’s safe enough for them to chew on. It doubles as a toy and teether once they start getting teeth. The silicone beads are 100% food grade and free of BPA.

Itzy Ritzy Car Seat Canopy – When you take your newborn out into the big world for the first time, you want them to feel safe and protected. Since Evelyn was born in the winter, having a car seat canopy was perfect for blocking wind and germs from her tiny face. This canopy has a universal fit for all infant carriers, is machine washable, and comes with two toy loops to hang your baby’s favorite toys.

Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock – I discovered this when Evelyn was a little over 3 months old and I wish this brand was around when Henry was a baby. It makes shopping a breeze especially if you have multiple kids. The carrier easily attaches to the shopping cart and holds babies up to 6 months (or 50 pounds) and can even hold an infant carrier. The hammock easily folds up and takes little room in a purse or diaper bag. This is a game changer when it comes to “Why didn’t I think of that?” products. PS: how cute does my baby look and when did she get so big? buy amoxil online no prescription

Dwell Darling Blanket – Every baby needs a security blanket and this is one of the softest I’ve ever felt. The geometric design and polka dots are eye catching and the minky fabric is perfect for cuddling up to. They are all designed and made in the USA and you know I love supporting small shops!

What’s in my Diaper Bag {Toddler Edition}

My son is just over 4 and my daughter is 20 months. I’m at a weird stage. We’re definitely out of the baby age with my son but not quite to the potty trained stage with Evelyn. Therefore, I still have to carry diapers, wipes, sippy cups, pouches, and puffs. Luckily Henry has been fully potty trained for almost 18 months so I don’t need to worry about accidents and Evelyn doesn’t spit up on herself or spill food anymore so that means I don’t need outfit changes for either of them. Today I’m sharing how to pack an efficient toddler diaper bag.

First, let’s talk about this amazing Coco & Kiwi diaper bag. I get so many compliments on this style. I’m a huge fan of monochrome and stripes. Not only is this bag stylish but it’s also so practical for mothers of multiples. It is huge on the inside with 9 different compartments, a changing pad, removable zipper pouch, stroller straps, and a long shoulder strap. Coco & Kiwi is restocking this bag on September 26 and the updated version will feature a backpack conversion which is genius. I’ve been using this bag daily for over 4 months now and it shows no signs of any wear of tear. It easily wipes clean and holds up so well.

Snacks/Drinks – This is a given. Kids love to eat, especially mine. As long as my kids are eating, I can pretty much get anything done that I need to. My bag is always full of pouches, raisins, puffs, veggie straws, juice boxes, sippy cups with water, and lollipops as a last resort. These organic ones are my favorite.

Sunscreen – I always keep extra sunscreen for face and body in my car and purse. It is so important to protect your skin, especially your face since it sees the most sun! The Kiss my Face Spray Sunscreen is my go to for the kids. The spray comes out in a fine mist and is non-greasy so I don’t have to worry about our clothes getting stained. I also keep a small SPF facial sunscreen for my skin so my pores don’t get clogged.
Diapers/Wipes – Evelyn is not potty trained yet so the diapers are a must. However, I recommend packing baby wipes even if you have older kids. They can be used for spills, kids faces or to even wipe down your steering wheel. I am loving the Bamboo diapers and wipes lately. Evelyn hasn’t had any leaks through the diapers and I love that they are super soft and breathable and contain no added fragrances or lotions.Thieves Spray – Made from Thieves essential oil and distilled water. I use this for everything even when I don’t have the kids with me. It’s a natural sanitizer that I spray on shopping carts, monkey bars, shared toys, public bathrooms etc. It also doubles as a general air freshener in case your mom van is smelling funky from old milk cups hidden under the seat 🙂
buy prednisone online no prescription

iPad – Have you ever tried going out to eat with kids at 6pm? Besides, Evelyn would probably die if she couldn’t watch Mickey Mouse.

Accessories – Evelyn always needs a blanket, pacifier, and a bow so people don’t think she’s a boy (which happens whenever she isn’t wearing something in her hair!) I keep these things and some small toys for both kids in my bag as well.

First Aid Kit – I use this kit which has everything we need in case of a park booboo or any of minor injuries. It’s super compact and includes over 50 different bandages, tweezers, burn & sting relief gel and more. For just over $10, do yourself a favor and get one for your pool bag, both cars and diaper bag. Kids and accidents go hand in hand! Moms to be: add several to your registry!

Miscellaneous – I have a small pouch that I keep toilet liners, tissues, chapstick, Tylenol, pens, cash & change, etc. You never know when your toddler will see a vending machine with 100 bouncy balls that he just has to have and sometimes you have to pick your battles! I also keep this cute scarf on hand in case I look down and realize I have toothpaste on my shirt (again). Did you know this is actually a nursing scarf? We are out of the nursing stage but I love how this scarf can transition easily into your wardrobe. buy premarin online no prescription

Walkkings Shoes {Review & Coupon!}

Both of my kids have always been early walkers and each took their first steps at 9 1/2 months. Once they figured out they could be mobile upright, they were off and never looked back. I’ve always hated the typical early walker shoes. They are not stylish, super chunky and just flat out boring. I recently came across Walkkings Shoes and was immediately attracted to their sleek design and style. They come in several different colors, can be worn year round and look cute with any outfit.
I have never come across a shoe as functional and inventive as the Walkkings brand. They have done so much research on the health of a child’s foot and developed a shoe made for active and growing children. I love that they contain no toxic dyes and are made with anti-allergic, breathable materials (did you know that children’s feet sweat 3 times more than adult feet?!) buy simvastatin online no prescription

Most of Evelyn’s shoes can be tough to get onto her squirmy, chubby baby feet. What is so amazing about these shoes is that they all unzip from the sole, completely opening the shoe. They’re so easy to put on and I know she is comfortable in them. She wears them to the park, for evening walks and on play dates. She has become quite the climber and jumper and will literally just jump in place, mostly on our hardwood floors. These shoes are great at supporting her little ankles so she can continue with her toddler acrobats. Readers can get 20% off all shoes with the code EVIE20. If you have a new walker or toddler in your life I highly recommend grabbing a pair of these amazing shoes like those available at this lacoste womens shoes Fashion & Beauty.
They have a 100% money back guarantee but I promise you will love them as much as I do 🙂 buy tadalista online no prescription

A Floral Themed Baby Shower

From the second I found out that my best friend was pregnant with her second daughter, I knew I wanted to throw her a beautiful shower to celebrate baby #2! The whole saying “April showers bring May flowers” came to mind since the shower would be in May. Once I had a theme in my head, I went to work on sourcing unique items to make the party special. Etsy was my go to, as usual, because I love supporting small shops selling adorable baby girl clothes and finding one of a kind items.
The dresser and vanity are from an antique store which I found over 6 years ago and have been hoarding ever since. I hoped one day that I’d have a daughter and use them for her big girl room. This is the first year where I have been able to add them into party decor. I love the feminine touches that paired with the theme so well. They also have not been re-finshed so they have a vintage look. That amazing blue couch was my mothers and I have used it several times this year. It makes for the prettiest back drop!
Any get together with a bunch of women should always include a mimosa bar. They are so easy to set up, inexpensive and are always the first stop guests make. All the juices I served were from Whole Foods and I reused the Mimosa Bar sign from Evelyn’s first birthday.
The food spread consisted of pasta salad, garlic shrimp, assorted cheeses & crackers, sandwiches and a vegetable platter. I made some blueberry & lime infused water and also had plenty of non alcoholic drink options for the pregnant ladies who attended. I used vintage napkins that were my grandmothers to wrap silverware in. This was my first time using cloth napkins for a party and now I’m hooked. (If you need me I’ll be scouring Ebay for napkin lots). buy wellbutrin online no prescription
Adding personalized touches to any party or event is key to make a wonderful lasting impression. The favors for all the ladies attending were mini Pinot Grigio wines with custom labels that had the mother’s name to be and the date of the shower. If you are looking for an easy way to incorporate the guest of honor, these are perfect. I also used Gardenia Labels for a friends 30th birthday party last month.
Stay tuned for a special giveaway on Friday for your chance to win all the items, plus some, in her amazing gift basket! If you are expecting a little girl soon, then I have all your floral themed needs covered 🙂 buy zantac online no prescription
