Summer Beauty Must Haves

There are so many products I am loving this summer. We are in the midst of the never-ending heat wave here in Atlanta and these items have been a life saver. I always love finding new products to use so I thought I would share what has been working for me!

Lavanila Deodorant – I’m slowly trying to purge my body of harsh chemicals, including aluminum. I’ve tried a few natural deodorants over the past few months and nothing has even come close to the Vanilla Grapefruit scent. I love how smooth the stick is and it has a cooling feeling after applying. It’s made from 100% all natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals like parabens, sulfates, and synthetic dyes. There are over 10 different scents and I can’t wait to try them all out. The stick seems to last a while and even after working out, I don’t sweat or smell at all. I was hesitant to change to an aluminum free deodorant in fear of stinking up my house but that hasn’t happened yet, whew!Thieves Toothpaste – There isn’t one person out there who hasn’t heard of essential oils. Thieves is one of the most popular oils, known for its cleaning power and immunity support. I love how clean my mouth feels after I brush my teeth. The mouthwash is in the queue for my next order!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Urbana Wellness Spa in Atlanta. While I was there I had the opportunity to learn about some of the products they carry and test out their services. Everything was amazing and I cannot wait to go back for a spa day. They carry a line called Image Skincare and I picked up some of the SPF 50 for my face. Usually, I wear an SPF 25 but I have noticed I wasn’t getting as much protection as I need so I opted to try a higher SPF. I cannot rave about this sunscreen enough. It goes on smooth underneath my makeup and leaves no greasy residue. I have combination skin but haven’t broken out once since using this the past month.

Mai Tai Spritzer – If you have a Dry Bar near you I hope you’ve had the chance to get a blowout done. Your hair not only looks amazing but smells incredible too. There are so many Dry Bar products that I love but my favorite for summer is definitely the Mai Tai Spritzer. I rarely blow dry my hair in the summer because the heat and humidity just ruin it as soon as I step outside. I spray this on my damp hair and by the time my hair is dry I have a ton of texture and volume.

Charcoal Konjac Sponge – I’ve been using this scrub sponge since February after receiving it in my Julep box. I love how it gentle it is for everyday use and how it exfoliates my skin. It can be used with any cleanser or oil and makes my skin feel so smooth afterward. I use it at night and follow with a rich night cream so my skin can repair itself while I sleep. *I haven’t been using the same sponge, you need to throw it away after 3 months but the price is great*
buy prednisolone online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/prednisolone.html no prescription

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water – I saw this in the checkout temptation aisle at Sephora last month and thought I would give it a try. It has a dual use: spray on your face before makeup and also afterward to set your makeup. There is no alcohol in this so it won’t dry your skin and my face never feels oily or heavy. This primer sprays as a mist and even the travel size will last you a long time.

What products can you not go without this summer? I would love to hear in the comments below!

Summer Days

Is there anything worse than the humid southern heat? And is there anything better than fresh watermelon on a hot summer day? Since Henry will be starting Pre-K in August, I decided that June would be his last month of preschool, so that we could all spend time together in July. Having both kids alone five days a week is definitely a challenge but I know these moments are fleeting so I am really trying to enjoy them. This month we have swim lessons planned for Henry, a family trip to Athens, movie dates with friends and lots of indoor park play (give me that AC!) I can’t believe Evelyn will be 18 months old on the 10th and Henry just turned 4. They are both finally at an age where they like to be around each other. Henry constantly makes her laugh and has really taken to this older brother thing. He teaches her words, gets her sippy cups full of water and generally likes to boss her around, which she loves. I cannot wait to see their relationship grow and I’m really thankful that they let me take their pictures so I can document these sweet moments. I love this stage that they’re both in and wish I could freeze time, since they are changing every day. I can’t get over her face in this last picture! She was having trouble figuring out how to eat the watermelon and was super frustrated. I love capturing their personalities and living in an age where it is totally acceptable to document everything your kids do. I’m definitely going to be that PTA mom that is constantly participating in every classroom activity 🙂 buy advair online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/advair.html no prescription

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! I hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend. We’re in Charleston visiting family and despite the heat and humidity, it’s been so fun. Sidetone: How do girls wear face makeup here? I can hardly step outside without sweating immediately so I’ve been rocking the top knot and mascara only look for a few days. I wanted to give you a little table inspiration this morning in case you’re hosting family or friends today. Creating a table scape for a party does not have to be stressful or extravagant. Even though there are tons of fabulous homemade recipes out there for holiday themed food, I recommend going to the store and buying pre-made desserts and food that don’t require much prep. Target & Publix were my go to for decor items and food and all I had to do was plate the goods! While you’re shopping you can drop off balloons to have inflated which add the perfect touch to your gathering. These adorable bomb pop balloons are from an etsy shop which has a ton of great mylar options. How cute is this hot dog balloon for a summer cookout? I added this rag garland to the front of the table but it would also look cute draped along a wall for a backdrop or Photo Booth. So, grab some beers, brats and cupcakes and get your Fourth of July party started today! buy alphagan online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/alphagan.html no prescription

Pizza Nights are the Best Nights

A few years ago my husband got a pizza oven and ever since then we have been hooked on homemade pizza. Before Evelyn was born, we would have pizza night once a month with some friends, it was that intense. Now that Henry is older he loves to make his own pizza and add an array of toppings. Although we’ve had to refrain from letting him use candy, most of his creations are really yummy. I love seeing how he lays out the ingredients on the dough like a work of art. He’s really into putting things in rows so usually only half of his pizza has cheese on it 🙂

We’ve found that the best mozzarella is made by Stella® Cheese. Our favorite pizza to make at home consists of prosciutto, basil and fresh mozzarella. It’s so simple to make and always a crowd pleaser. Stella® cheeses are flavorful and combine old world craftsmanship with rich dairy heritage, dating back to 1923. From shredded to crumbled and sharp to sweet, the wide range of Stella® cheese products will infuse your meals with a hint of romantic flavor. Pizza nights are a great way to bring family and friends together for a laid back evening. They’re also a great way for young children to experiment with cooking and explore their independence. Henry loves to cook and is so happy when he helps daddy in the kitchen making pizzas. buy amoxil online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/buynoprescription/amoxil-no-prescription.html no prescription

Maternity Style for Summer

Being pregnant in the summer is the absolute worst. I’m not currently pregnant, but I do have thirteen pregnant friends due this year. I can relate to being so uncomfortable and hot and not wanting to wear anything other than a t-shirt. Unfortunately, ladies cannot escape real clothes for 40+ weeks so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite must haves to deal with this heat. H&M has an affordable and stylish line of maternity clothes so you can feel your best while also keeping on a budget. buy flomax online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/flomax.html no prescription
This beautiful lace dress paired with some comfortable ballet flats would be perfect for a date night. The ribbed tank and shorts are ideal for taking older kids to a play date. A feminine blouse paired with some jeans shorts and gladiator sandals are great for a girls lunch and a basic chambray dress for running errands (if you must leave the house more than once in a week). buy effexor online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/effexor.html no prescription

An Easy Summertime Snack!

Thank you to General Mills for sponsoring today’s post!

Now that summer is officially here, we are spending a lot of time outdoors. Almost every evening and weekend consists of the kids playing in their kiddie pools in the backyard. Henry is obsessed with his water slide and I may or may not take several a few turns going down it myself. Summers in Georgia are no joke and we definitely like to take breaks from the heat to relax with a yummy snack. buy lipitor online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/lipitor.html no prescription
General Mills has recently added a ton of Gluten Free cereal options including Lucky Charms, Cherrios and my favorite: Chex! I just introduced Evelyn to Chex and now the cinnamon is her favorite snack. They are the perfect size for tiny fingers. The chocolate is also delicious and I’ve been having it for breakfast everyday this past week. #momlife

Henry and Evelyn’s favorite way to eat the Chex lately is without milk straight from the box. I pour some in bowls for them and they love to eat it by the pool. There’s no sticky residue or messy cleanup to worry about and they can easily pause from playtime to fill their bellies. These classic cereals are now all Gluten Free! Not only are there now five flavors of Chex but there are also several Cherrios options and Lucky Charms too. You can buy nexium online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/nexium.html no prescription
when you purchase two select General Mills cereals. Get the coupon here!

Sugarboo Farms

A few weeks ago we loaded up the car and made the 2 hour drive north to visit Sugarboo Farms. Since this place is such a popular destination, it is almost always booked up so we don’t get the chance to visit too often (I hadn’t been since I was 8 months pregnant with Henry!) Being there almost makes you forget that downtown Atlanta is less than 3 hours away. It’s so serene, peaceful and relaxing.
We brought our two dogs, who have been there before, and they love being able to run free on the property and play. (another bonus, SB Farms is very animal friendly!)
This was Henry’s first time seeing farm animals and being in this kind of environment. He was amazed at all of the wilderness and spent nearly the whole time walking, running and exploring. He was so exhausted he passed out less than 5 minutes of being in the car. He loved seeing the goats, chickens and the “horse” which is really a donkey 🙂
