Fall Sweaters for Boys

sweater (target, in stores) // jeans // shoes
As Henry is getting older it’s becoming so hard to find cute clothes for him. Long gone are the days where I can dress him in leggings, a cute t shirt and a beanie. He is becoming a little boy which means real pants, real shoes and more mature clothing {insert sad emoticon}. Cue Target and H&M. They are killing it this season with their toddler sweaters and Mr. Rogers cardigans. I purchased the sweater pictured above at my local Target for twelve dollars. All the ones listed below are $25 and under so that means you can snag a few without pissing your husband off too bad (because you can only use the phrase “but he needs this one” so many times). Halloween Favorites

You know fall is right around the corner when Gap breaks out the Halloween pajamas. I almost screamed in excitement when I saw them on their site a few days ago. Then I started frantically searching other online shops to see if they had their Halloween clothing out yet and low and behold … they did! I am dying over these mummy PJs for Henry and this cat nightgown for Evelyn. We are suckers for anything cats (well mostly just me). I really need to start a petition to have Gap make adult Halloween pajamas.
This year is going to be extra special because I have a little sweet baby to experience this holiday with. It has been so fun in the past dressing Henry in themed gear for nearly 7 weeks (let’s face it, I start busting out the Halloween clothes mid September). But this year I get to play around with tutu’s and booties and bows … OH MY! I also finally decided on our family costumes and cannot wait to get started on decorating the house. I say this ever year, but fall is THE best time of the year for our family. We always have the best time and have loved creating little traditions together.
I am obsessed with the clothes and accessories I have seen this week and cannot wait to start hoarding for the kids. Since I cannot dress them in pajamas all month, I have chosen a few key pieces that can be easily mixed and matched. Enjoy!

Baby Moccasins

Having a girl has opened my eyes to a whole new world of baby fashion. I thought I was obsessed with boy clothes and boy style but I had no idea the cuteness that was out there for baby girls. I have always had an obsession with shoes and lately I have passed that onto my husband. One of my favorite baby and toddler shoes are moccasins. They are always so durable, washable and easy to put on, especially when your child takes them off 100 times in a row. Plus you can dress them up or wear with a t shirt and jeans from the retro club collection.
Now I know the queen of baby moccasins is Freshly Picked. She started the whole thing and her quality really is the best of the best. However most mothers I know (myself included) cannot spend $60 per pair! Especially if you’re buying for a non-walker … that’s like paying sixty bucks for leather socks. I own one pair which I splurged on for Henry last year and Evelyn will also be able to wear them eventually. Unfortunately I spend half my life browsing etsy and I have found so many adorable and affordable baby moccs (most $40 and under). I love how so many different designers have put their own twist on moccasins. The ballet flat style is by far my favorite and I am definitely putting all of them on Evelyn’s wish list!  (I have been secretly trolling etsy to find some in my size).

Five Things Friday

I’m not going to lie, Henry looks so stinking cute in a bathing suit. I love his little chubby belly sticking out over the top like an old man. He has always been my water baby; loving bath time, the pool, splash parks, the dogs water bowls … you get the idea. Little swim trunks are so adorable this season for the boys and I’ve already purchased a few for Henry (meaning, 3 out of 5 of my picks below). These swim trunks have all been under $20 and Carters just had a 50% off sale last Saturday and I snagged him the black stripped shorts for $7! Plus, they always have coupons too which is great. Hopefully this summer will not be so brutally hot here in Atlanta, but just in case it is, Henry will be prepared.

Five Things Friday

Right around when Henry was 3 months old, my “baby” style for him started changing. Out went the Carter’s onesie sets, cutesy animal prints and matching hats and in came the leggings, cardigans and printed tee’s. Don’t get me wrong, Carter’s makes great/durable clothing and we have a lot of their plain basics, but the majority of their stuff just isn’t my style. I have been working on a post for months with my favorite baby and kids clothing shops but nearly every week I find more stores so I keep adding and adding. One day soon I will share my beloved shops because they are so unique. A favorite staple piece of mine is a great pair of leggings with funky prints that you don’t see at the mall stores. You can pair these with onesies, t shirts, cardigans, moccasins, converse, sweatshirts, etc. The list goes on. There is nothing that I’ve found that looks bad with leggings. Henry also has some plain black, grey, and striped leggings from the little girls section at Target! You would never know except for the fact the tag is pink. I love how most of the leggings out there are gender neutral so they can be saved for the next baby. Be sure to check back next week when I list my favorite baby & kid clothing shops. I hope you all have a great weekend ahead!

H&M!

You guys! H&M is finally selling their clothes on line! You have no idea how happy this makes me. I love everything about their store and clothes. It’s good quality for a great price, plus their styles are so cute. I particularly love their baby and kids line, because come on, who doesn’t love a little boy in a Mr. Rodgers cardigan? There is way more of a selection online than in the stores (another reason why I am super excited because not every H&M store carries the baby and kids line). Head on over to their site and check out all the amazing clothes, plus shipping was just $6! I nearly had a heart attach when one of my girlfriends texted me this morning saying they opened up online ordering to the US. Total panic mode, as if this was a flash sale and I would miss out on all the cute stuff. Luckily it’s all still there 🙂
