Five Things Friday: Educational Toys {Age 4}

Henry’s favorite toys at this age are legos, transformers, and trucks. All things that his sister wants nothing to do with, besides eating the lego heads. These are also all toys which we have so many of and make constant sounds. If I step on one more transformer at 5am going down the dark stairs I just may burn them all. All kidding aside, while I love that Henry gets so much joy out of these toys, I also want him to learn how to get enjoyment out of toys that don’t come from a TV show and have flashing lights. I’ve rounded up my top 5 educational toys for you today!Miniature Bowling Set – This is such a fantastic game for the bigger kids (3 and up). Henry can play this for 30+ minutes at a time which helps me unload the dishwasher and tidy the living room before daddy gets home! The pins and ball come in their own muslin bag and are hand carved and waxed. This set would make an awesome baby shower gift and can be used as decor until children are old enough to play with it.

Wooden Toy Camera – My children have had cameras shoved in their face since they came into this world. It’s just how I am. I photograph everything and love to document our lives. Henry has picked up my habits and pretends to take pictures of our animals, his legos, and our family. This play wooden camera can be customized with your child’s name on the back too, making it another great gift or stocking stuffer.

Fabric Letters & Numbers – This set is fantastic for preschoolers who are starting to recognize their letters and also learning to spell. All the letters and number come in a cute bag which is perfect for road trips or sleepovers at grandmas house. I love how each letter has a different pattern and that they’re soft. We are starting to teach Henry how to spell basic 3 letter words and these are a great tool.

Pawtoo Toys – This company offers an array or organic and natural wooden toys. Henry loves the Jigsaw Elephant Puzzle and the Lacing Cheese. They both help to calm and focus his mind if he is having a meltdown or hulking into a fournager. I love that these are also gender neutral so Evelyn can use down the road. Not to mention they are handmade in the USA and inspire creative play. buy desyrel online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/desyrel.html no prescription

Wooden Peg Figures – Like most little boys, Henry is obsessed with superheroes. It’s so funny that he knows all their names even though he has never watched Iron Man or Captain America. Pegs n’ Things offers any kind of figurine you could imagine. They all get handpainted, making no two alike. Henry loves taking his Batman and Spiderman with him everywhere he goes and insists that they need to watch him use the bathroom so they too can become potty trained. buy diflucan online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/diflucan.html no prescription
How crazy is it that there is only a week and a half left in August? Not that I am complaining because that means Fall is right around the corner. Grace Mabel Skincare

Fewer things are more important that what we put into and onto our children’s bodies. When I was pregnant with Henry, I became obsessed with finding the best products to use on him. Over the years there has been a wave of new skincare brands that have hit the market. The latest one to catch my eye has been Grace Mabel. I love how the ingredients are all natural and plant based. The products, bottles, and packaging are made in the USA, just near Seattle. Not only are they gluten, soy, and dairy free but Grace Mabel never use toxins, harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, colors or dyes. Could you ask for a more child-friendly product? The bottles are also BPA free and they never ever test on animals. I cannot tell you how much I love supporting small businesses that really value my children as if they were their own. buy desyrel online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/desyrel-no-prescription.html no prescription

The Cuddle Collection Pack is great for children of all ages and would make an excellent baby shower gift. It comes with the Delicate Mint Cuddle Rub, Tender Tulip Baby Cream, and Tender Tulip Shampoo & Body Wash. The mint cuddle rub smells amazing I use it before bed since it helps to promote healthy digestion, sleep, and circulation. The lotions are all light and non-greasy which is perfect for putting on before clothing. I cannot tell you how many pajamas and shirts I have ruined ith super oily creams and rubs. Grace Mabel also has a Lavender Lotion Bar which can be used on mom and baby skin for chapped lips or cheeks, scrapes, burns, and rashes. Lavender is by far my favorite essential oil so anytime I see a product which uses it, I am intrigued. buy celexa online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/celexa-no-prescription.html no prescription

June & January Sibling Style {pt 1}

Now that school is back in session for most I wanted to share some of my favorite staple pieces for boys and girls. June & January (formerly Little Hip Squeaks) has the best basics for babies and children. Their pieces are soft, comfortable and extremely stylish. I love all the patterns and bright colors and they are perfect for the playground and school. The lightweight cotton allows kids to move freely while remaining relaxed. What is also great about the majority of their items is that they are gender neutral, so you can save for babies you haven’t had yet 🙂 Having a son and a daughter, it can be difficult to find coordinating pieces for them, which I why June & January is my go to for staple pieces. The swing dress and lounge short are definitely my favorite right now and they pair so well together. J&J also drops new pieces throughout the year so be sure to follow them on Instagram for updates!

My Favorite Sippy Cups

It’s safe to say that I’ve been around the sippy cup block. Henry started using them at 6 months old and he’s now over 4. So, for the past 3+ years, my dishwasher has seen their fair share of different cups. It’s seen boy cups and girl cups, glass cups and non-BPA free cups, Paw Patrol cups and now Minnie Mouse cups.  My kids have tried them all and I’m sharing my top five favorites today.

1 // Born Free – Henry has used these for over two years now and we haven’t had any issues. They are spout-less and are great for transitioning a toddler into a real cup. buy valtrex online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/valtrex-no-prescription.html no prescription
2 // Silikids – This is a newer brand that I just started using. I love how extremely durable the cups are.  The tops are made from silicone which stretches tightly over the sippy cups, preventing any spills.  You can also order the universal sippy tops and straw tops and add to existing cups you already own. Did you know that silicone is recyclable? I had no idea! Silikids will responsibly recycle your cups and tops once your children have outgrown them. They offer a variety of silicone items which you can see more of here.
3 // Nuk – Both my kids started with the Nuk Trainer Cups. They are the perfect size for little hands and come with handles for practice. Once your child gets accustomed to holding the cup, you can remove the handles. The spout is most like the nipple on a bottle so it’s familiar to their little mouths.
4 // Nalgene – I have personally used this brand for years and I love that they have smaller ones for toddler’s hands. They are just as wonderful as the adult version and come in an array of colors. Since these hold 12 ounces of liquid, they are perfect for an afternoon at the park or a day at the pool. buy elavil online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/elavil-no-prescription.html no prescription
5 // Munchkin – The kids have been using these the longest. Henry would never take a regular spout and only liked the straw sippy. These have a soft spout but yet are bite proof and leak proof. I also love how they click to lock so you know the top is on securely. They last forever and come in a variety of colors. I love how they will grow with your child well into the toddler years. These are recommended for 9 months and up and the kids are now 4 and 18 months and they still use these. buy fluoxetine online https://cpff.ca/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/fluoxetine-no-prescription.html no prescription

Here’s to a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Boho Baby Style

I’ve always loved the boho look for women and lately it seems like the trend has made it’s way down to toddler girls and babies. Trust me, I am not complaining. The fringe rompers, gladiator sandals, and Aztec prints pretty much are the cutest thing a baby girl can wear. I love the modern print and bright colors of this Pom Pom Romper. It fits Evelyn perfectly and the criss-cross straps in the back are so adorable. If your little one has outgrown the bubble stage, it also comes in the cutest crop top I have ever seen. I seriously want to commission Hip Little Monsters to make one in my size. You know I love supporting small shops and once again, all items featured in today’s post are made in the USA.

These adorable gladiator sandals are by Scarlett Rubies and the brown goes with so many pieces in Evelyn’s wardrobe. The leather is very thick and durable and since they run big, they will last a while.  Readers can save 15% with the code CHANEL15. Living in Atlanta, we have warm weather a good six + months out of the year so I’m always on the lookout for styles that I won’t get sick of after a month. This sun suit from Miss Molly June Designs is the perfect summer two piece. I love the high-waisted bloomers with ruffle and the cute little halter tie. The bloomers can easily transition to fall over some knit tights and a onesie/tee and cardigan. buy albenza online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/albenza.html no prescription

In other news, Henry started Pre-K today at our local elementary school and it went easier than expected. I plan on doing an update next week. Happy Monday, friends! xo buy albuterol online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/albuterol.html no prescription

Local Eats: Mama’s Boy, Athens

My family loves breakfast. It’s our favorite meal of the day and on weekends we always have a least one big, hearty breakfast together. When planning vacations, food and restaurants are the number one thing I start researching (after accommodations). One of my favorite ways to find out about local eateries is through Instagram. Most restaurants follow their cities Instagram account and vice versa. I had followed the My Athens account for a few months prior to our trip and food pictures from Mama’s Boy frequented their feed. I could not wait to visit here during our Athens trip.

I need an iced coffee first thing in the morning before anything else. Sometimes I think I am addicted because I literally crave it when I wake up. My husband prefers his warm but I drink mine iced year round. It could be -30 degrees outside and you would still see me sipping on iced coffee. Mama’s Boy coffee is delicious and they offer free refills when you order it iced. For our starter, we decided to share the banana bread with honey poppy seed butter.  This butter was definitely the start of the show and if I worked at Mama’s Boy, I would be hiding in the back on my break eating this with a spoon. buy buspar online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/buspar.html no prescription

My husband usually orders the heartiest thing on the menu and chose the Mill Town Breakfast Plate. I’m a huge fan of a restaurant’s specials and on this Saturday one of their specials were the Shrimp & Grits with poached eggs, creole sauce, and cheddar cheese. It was without a doubt phenomenal and had a kick to it which added a ton a flavor. If you follow my food posts, you know I am egg obsessed and add eggs to just about everything. I can’t make poached eggs to save my life so when I see them on the menu, I can’t resist. The kids shared the Cinnamon French Toast sticks and biscuits. Ahhh, the biscuits. Paired with the homemade raspberry jam, they are melt in your mouth deliciousness and will have you dreaming about them for weeks on end. buy alphagan online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/alphagan.html no prescription

When visiting Mama’s Boy on the weekends, I suggest coming early or be prepared to wait for a bit. This place is so popular with the locals and for good reason. The restaurant is cozy, service is fast and the food is outstanding and budget friendly. Thank you, Mama’s Boy for hosting us! buy bupropion online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/bupropion.html no prescription

Hotel Indigo, Athens

Last week we took a family trip to Athens, GA and stayed at the beautiful Hotel Indigo. The hotel is centrally located right in downtown Athens and close to nearly everything. Had it not been so hot we probably would have walked everywhere. However, having two kids in tow it just made more sense to drive. This was the kids first time in a hotel and they thought it was the coolest thing ever and would have both been fine staying inside during our entire trip. Since we were visiting in the summer, most of the college kids had gone home so the city was relatively quiet and peaceful. It was almost as if we had the town to ourselves. buy cenforce online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/cenforce.html no prescription

We stayed in the jacuzzi suite which is perfect if you are traveling with kids or another couple. The suite has two bedrooms and a spacious living room with a pull out couch, which Henry slept on. There is a huge jacuzzi tub, a separate shower and a double vanity in the bathroom. The toilet is in a separate room with an additional sink which was ideal for us because we put Evelyn’s pack n play in the main bathroom and were still able to use the facilities at night and brush our teeth. buy clomid online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/clomid.html no prescription

I love the concrete ceilings and hardwood floors. There is also plenty of windows that let in a ton of natural light and full drapes which totally block out daylight if you’re trying to get a nap in (or in my case, two naps in!) The mini fridge is huge, perfect for bottles of water, orange juice, milk and fruit for the kids. There is a bar sink in the living room by the fridge which is great for rinsing out sippy cups. I also really liked that they provided cans for recycling in the room. You’d be surprised how many plastic bottles we went through. We didn’t get a chance to eat at the hotel restaurant, Madison Bar & Bistro, but it was so welcoming and everything on the menu sounded delicious. The kids loved the outdoor patio space and had they not been with us, my husband and I would have definitely enjoyed a few drinks out there! buy clozaril online https://medstaff.englewoodhealth.org/wp-content/languages/new/clozaril.html no prescription

Hotel Indigo is perfect for any vacation: a romantic getaway, family weekend, or a place to stay while going to a Bulldogs game. The staff was so friendly, the rooms were spotless, the parking is convenient and you cannot beat the location. We could not have asked for a better first family hotel experience.
