With the big game quickly approaching, I have been on the hunt for a variety of small bites to serve at our game day party. An easy appetizer that is always a crowd pleaser is a charcuterie board. There are so many different ways you can assemble these but I thought a Mediterranean inspired board would be a nice twist! I love anything with meat and cheese and the best thing about a charcuterie board is that they are easy to snack on while talking with friends. The clean up is also very minimal, making this one ideal appetizer!
Olives are an essential part of the Mediterranean diet so I decided to make a yummy black olive spread using Lindsay Naturals Black Olives. This side is one of the easiest I’ve ever made and goes so well with an assortment of breads and crackers. My favorite part about Lindsay Olives is they really are all natural. No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I also love how they have been a family owned and operated company for 4 generations and that they are located in the the US (Bay Area). Black Olive Spread
1 6-ounce Can Lindsay Black Olives
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
Step 1. Drain and rinse olives
Step 2. Add all ingredients to small pan and simmer on medium so flavors can mix together
Step 3. After about 5 minutes or until olives are soft, add to blender and pulse. You want a paste like texture.
Step 4. After all ingredients are pulsed, pour into small decorative bowl and serve as a spread with your charcuterie board. Garnish with sliced black olives.
