fall

October Favorites

October is undoubtedly my favorite month of the year, mostly because Halloween is my favorite Holiday. I decorate the last night of September so that I can enjoy the Halloween decor all month long. My house is currently decked out in all things black, white, purple, and orange. The weather in Atlanta is finally cooling off so it’s been nice being able to enjoy the outdoors again. With a new month comes new favorites, and I’m excited to share some things I’ve been loving lately.

You know how much I obsess over June & January basics. They make the most amazing pieces so that your kids can coordinate without being too matchy {see more here and here}. Their black and white pieces are perfect for October.
I really look forward to transitioning from my bright summer bag into a fall bag with a softer color. This peach hobo goes great with all the neutral colors I wear during the cooler months.
Fall baking and eating is a must in my house. Give me anything apple or pumpkin flavored and I’ll be happy. I am dying to make this donut milkshake and these pumpkin cinnamon rolls. We visited an apple farm last weekend and came back with over 40 apples. I’ve been making a ton of yummy  recipes this week. buy elavil online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/elavil-no-prescription.html no prescription
I’m loving an Earth tone lip color. I have several friends who swear by LipSense so I finally gave them a shot. They have a vast selection of colors to choose from and my favorite so far has been the Pink Champagne. It goes nicely with my skin tone without being too overpowering. Just like the brand claims, it really does last all day long. I can eat, drink, kiss my husband, etc and it doesn’t fade or rub off and it is waterproof. I love that you can create your own color pallet by combining shades. buy flomax online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/flomax-no-prescription.html no prescription
This pumpkin candle has been burning non-stop in my house. The smell is not too strong and these candles last forever. They have the best fall scents and the Halloween packaging is so cute.
I know you have all seen the adorable Cat & Jack line at Target for kids and I cannot rave enough about the pieces. The prints and patterns are so unique and fun and I love that the clothes have a 1-year warranty. This pom pom skirt is so fun and I cannot wait to style it on Evelyn. buy fluoxetine online https://blackmenheal.org/wp-content/languages/new/noprescription/fluoxetine-no-prescription.html no prescription

This weekend we are finally hitting up the pumpkin patch which we visit every year and I cannot wait to get my hands on some white and pink pumpkins. I’ve been spending way too much time on Pinterest lately and I am finally going to tackle my “Fall front porch” goal so send some Pinterest-win magic my way! Happy Wednesday, everyone!

fall happenings

It’s no secret that Fall is the favorite season among women aged 25-40. As soon as mid September hits, my Instagram feed is full of yellow leaves, Pumpkin Spice Lattes and chunky scarves. I love it. I love the fact that I am not the only person obsessed with cooler weather and long sleeves. The heat and humidity that comes with Atlanta summers make me not even want to step outside. We go full force in the Fall and Winter months since there is always something festive to do. {example: Henry is going trick or treating three times this week}
Burt’s Pumpkin Patch
This was our fourth year visiting and it’s easily one of our favorite traditions. They have the best pumpkins (white, pink, blue, orange), tractor rides, yummy food etc. Henry loves running around through the aisles and loading up our wagon with 10,000 pumpkins. Evelyn loved being pushed like a princess in her stroller and seeing all the action. buy estrace online https://salempregnancy.org/wp-content/languages/new/estrace.html estrace no prescription

Cumming Fair
This was our first year going to the fair. I think if we had gone in years past Henry would have been too young to really participate or understand what was happening. At almost 3 1/2 he was able to ride “roller coasters”, eat carnival food and play games. Poor Evelyn was up way past her bedtime and zonked out as soon as her sweet little head hit the carseat. buy benicar online https://salempregnancy.org/wp-content/languages/new/benicar.html benicar no prescription

I cannot believe Halloween is here! The kids have been wearing costumes all week to gear up for tomorrow evening. They kicked off Halloween eve with no naps and have been super feisty today, so I’m praying that tomorrow goes smoothly since it’s going to be jam packed with candy and friends. buy aceon online https://salempregnancy.org/wp-content/languages/new/aceon.html aceon no prescription

Fall Sweaters for Boys

As Henry is getting older it’s becoming so hard to find cute clothes for him. Long gone are the days where I can dress him in leggings, a cute t shirt and a beanie. He is becoming a little boy which means real pants, real shoes and more mature clothing {insert sad emoticon}. Cue Target and H&M. They are killing it this season with their toddler sweaters and Mr. Rogers cardigans. I purchased the sweater pictured above at my local Target for twelve dollars. All the ones listed below are $25 and under so that means you can snag a few without pissing your husband off too bad (because you can only use the phrase “but he needs this one” so many times). high tops

Henry has been rocking high tops since before he could walk. He wears sneakers or slip ons year round because finding cute sandals that don’t look feminine and are not super chunky is literally impossible. So high tops it is. I’ve always loved that look on boys and needless to say converse high tops are a staple in our shoe wardrobe. It can be so hard to find a stylish play shoe for boys (ones without Paw Patrol plastered everywhere and that do not light up in 100 colors). I usually try and steer clear of the character shoe isle in Target for as long as I can before Henry starts telling me what he will and won’t wear. I dread the day where I have to buy clunky character shoes but it’s inevitable.
My favorite site for shoes is Zappos. They have free, super fast shipping and free returns in case they don’t work. Their prices are the best and I always shop around for the best deal. Zulily, Gap and Carters usually have some high tops to choose from all year. I ordered the black leather converse below for Henry’s everyday shoe for fall/winter and the blue Old Navy (#7) are on sale now for $10.97. Such a steal!  Happy Shopping 🙂

Halloween Favorites

You know fall is right around the corner when Gap breaks out the Halloween pajamas. I almost screamed in excitement when I saw them on their site a few days ago. Then I started frantically searching other online shops to see if they had their Halloween clothing out yet and low and behold … they did! I am dying over these mummy PJs for Henry and this cat nightgown for Evelyn. We are suckers for anything cats (well mostly just me). I really need to start a petition to have Gap make adult Halloween pajamas.
This year is going to be extra special because I have a little sweet baby to experience this holiday with. It has been so fun in the past dressing Henry in themed gear for nearly 7 weeks (let’s face it, I start busting out the Halloween clothes mid September). But this year I get to play around with tutu’s and booties and bows … OH MY! I also finally decided on our family costumes and cannot wait to get started on decorating the house. I say this ever year, but fall is THE best time of the year for our family. We always have the best time and have loved creating little traditions together.
I am obsessed with the clothes and accessories I have seen this week and cannot wait to start hoarding for the kids. Since I cannot dress them in pajamas all month, I have chosen a few key pieces that can be easily mixed and matched. Enjoy!

Weekend Wrap Up

The first weekend of October is always one of our favorites. My husband’s birthday is on the 5th and along with that celebrating we also head up to Burt’s Pumpkin Farm to get our pumpkins for the season. This was our third year going as a family and definitely Henry’s favorite. This time he was old enough to pick out his own pumpkins (all 300 of the little ones that wound up in our wheelbarrow), “ride” the tractor and we even went on hay ride. He was such a good boy and had so much fun running free and exploring. It’s crazy to think that next year we will be going with a 3 year old and a 10 month old!

After the farm on Saturday we went to visit my best friend and her husband at the hospital. She had just given birth to their baby girl the day before and I was so anxious to meet her. She is such a sweetie and is just perfect. Our daughters will only be 3 months apart and it will be so fun watching them grow up together. I can’t wait to see her again soon <3

 On Sunday my husband turned 33. I let him sleep him and woke up with Henry at 6:30 (not by choice. Our son is an early bird!) I made him french toast on sourdough bread which was so good and we relaxed around the house for a few hours. We had a sitter come for Henry so we could have an adult day. My mom and her husband treated us to Top Golf (our first time!) It is such a fun place and the weather was crisp and cool, perfect for an outdoor day. The food was also very good (I was expecting bar food) and there were a lot of options to choose from. There were also TVs in our bay and the Falcons game was playing … so perfect.

Tomorrow we are extending the celebration with dinner with some friends at Pampas Steakhouse and then it’s back to Halloween and Fall activities 🙂

Five Things Friday

There are still 3 hours left to post Five Things Friday. My husband has been out of town since Wednesday morning so it’s just been me for three full days and I have definitely had my hands full. At least the weather in Atlanta has been amazing! Chilly mornings, breezy afternoons … simply the best. {I  have been obsessed with wearing my moccasins every day}. The leaves are starting to change and it feels like I am driving through a painting sometimes with the mix of beautiful colors. I love a good neutral earth tone, especially in Autumn, and I feel it also compliments my skin tone. Here are some of my favs I am crushing on this week. Check out more earth tones on good ol’ Pinterest here. {PS: how awesome is this boot??}
