Easter 2016 Recap

Who has been in a chocolate bunny and peep coma today? This Monday was a tough one. Our whole family indulged in way too many sweets and champagne (actually just me). Even though it was rainy and overcast the whole day, we managed to have a good day despite the weather. I cooked some yummy treats for the husband and kids and Henry filled up on chocolate and jelly beans. Easter Sunday should have been nicknamed Candy Sunday because it was non stop. Just thinking about all the candy and sweets makes my teeth hurt. Thank goodness Halloween and Easter are so far apart. buy zovirax online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/zovirax.html no prescription
The kids were up at the crack of dawn as usual and Henry could not wait to find his candy basket. We put plastic empty eggs in the living room for Evelyn to “hunt” and Henry had his egg hunt in the backyard when she went down for her morning nap. He loved all the mini legos and has been playing with them non stop. I’m so glad I went with legos and not more candy because he would probably still be awake now on a binge. buy priligy online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/priligy.html no prescription
After nap time we headed to my mothers house for Easter dinner. As usual the food and decor was incredible and as usual Henry was being his wild self. I basically drank my weight in champagne to get through his craziness. Evelyn refused to nap and was pretty fussy the whole time. They must have felt bad for how they acted and made it up to us by sleeping until 7:30 this morning. It also helps that they’re pretty cute.

Easter Week

Can you believe tomorrow is Easter? March sure has flown by but I am really looking forward to seeing my kids faces when they wake up tomorrow. Henry is at the best age for all things holiday related. He really is starting to grasp the actives that come with each one. Evelyn just loves to run around and roam like a velociraptor with her little arms up to her side and scream things out occasionally at the pets and her brother. Needless to say she hasn’t participated in many Easter activities this year! During her morning naps this week Henry and I were able to do some things together, including decorating eggs with no dye. My second home, Target, had these great plastic matte eggs for $3 per dozen which can be drawn on. I bought the plain white and the black which came with chalk. Henry had a blast coloring on them and the mess was non existent.

Even though Henry will be getting some candy in his Easter basket, the last thing he needs is to partake in an egg hunt in which the eggs are full of sweets. We are putting together an egg hunt in our backyard that is just for him. The eggs all have mini legos in them since he loves to play and build. I filled 47 plastic eggs with 303 mini lego pieces. If you are looking for a last minute activity for your kids, this is excellent. I purchased the legos at Target for $20 and used mostly eggs saved from previous years. Even if you don’t have any left over eggs on hand, you can get them for next to nothing at the dollar store and even Target has them on sale by now. buy diflucan online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/diflucan.html no prescription

You may have seen on instagram one of the baskets I put together for Evelyn which was inspired by the blue gingham bunny years on the bucket. When I saw this at Target (of course) for $5, I had to have it for her. There is no shortage of gingham prints out there so filling the bucket was very simple. That cute gingham bow is from an Etsy shop I found a few months ago, the bathing suit is from Old Navy, the eggs and plastic books are also from Target and the book is vintage that I picked up at Powell’s in Portland. buy benzac online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/benzac.html no prescription
I’ve been baking up a storm for Easter tomorrow and I cannot wait to see the look on my kids faces when they see their baskets and when Henry sees nearly 50 eggs in the backyard for him! Five Things Friday – Easter for Boys

I really thought I had more time to prep for Easter but with my Portland trip and soccer practices & games the month of March has quickly gotten the best of me. I’ve been stashing a few things away for Henry’s Easter basket so that I don’t have to rush out and find things and run the risk of just buying junk and candy. Pottery Barn Kids is offering 40% off on all Easter items this weekend only. buy wellbutrin online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/wellbutrin.html no prescription
There are some really amazing deals, including these unicorn basket liners! Not really boy related but there is this Beatrix Potter Apron which is definitely boy friendly. Henry loves to help bake with me and for $19 this is such a steal. He recently found our stash of board games (Trouble, Monopoly, Battleship and more) and his been obsessed with trying to play them. However being that he is not even 4 yet he obviously cannot play them properly. One of his favorite books is Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site and I just came across the matching board game which is for ages 3-4 so that was a no brainer buy. Since he is constantly painting and playing play doh all of that has dried up so I found some fun new paint and play doh which I know he will love and want to play with at 6am. The last thing we are planning is an egg hunt in our backyard in which the eggs will be filled with Legos for him. He loves legos and the mini ones fit perfectly in them. And finally, because who doesn’t love fresh new bedsheets for Spring? These are the perfect ones for your little sports star! I hope everyone has a great weekend! buy sinequan online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/sinequan.html no prescription

Five Things Friday – Easter for Girls

We are just over four weeks away until Easter which means there are cute bunny things everywhere. Target is killing it with their Easter decor, as usual, and if you are hosting at your home this year, there are some great options for a creating a beautiful floral tablescape at some great prices. Putting together Easter baskets for the kids is one of my favorite things (you can see what I chose last year and the year before). Today I’m sharing some cute things for baby and toddler girls. You know I love a good baby bonnet and Briar Handmade makes the best ones. Their Spring line is to die for with so many beautiful patterns. The egg crayons would be a great addition to a boys or girls basket and since Evelyn is still too young for crayons, I will probably end up adding those to Henry’s basket. buy depakote online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/depakote.html no prescription
The greatest Easter goody I have found though is this Linen Bunny Apron. It is so feminine and girly and perfect for any little girl (if she has a play kitchen it’s even better!) The best of all, it’s under $20 with free shipping and she can use all year long. I hope everyone has a great weekend! We are finally getting some sunshine here in Atlanta and hopefully spending some time outdoors. buy cymbalta online https://bethanyhealthcare.org/wp-content/languages/new/cymbalta.html no prescription

Easter Goodies

It’s crazy that this year I put together TWO Easter baskets for my kids. It has been so fun having a boy and girl and finding things that really suit their personalities (mostly Henry’s since Evelyn is only 12 weeks). Henry has been using my Easter basket from back when I grew up and I just bought Evelyn’s at Target. Most of their goodies were also found at my local Target (dollar hot spot, baby!) They always hit the nail on the head when it comes to holidays and their selection for kids. I got a bunch of cute little fillers (bubbles, a jump rope, rubber duckies, rattles) and then a few bigger items too.

We will be hosting Easter brunch with my family and also having an Easter egg hunt in the backyard for Henry. I filled a ton of eggs with small toys and candy that I got at Party City. The eggs are from Target and Oriental Trading Company. This year Henry is definitely old enough to understand an egg hunt, the hard part will be to see if he actually cares to do it. I’m looking forward to hiding all the eggs in the backyard now that my husband has done a lot of work to clear it out.

As for brother and sister styles, I went with simple whites so they would easily match (and get dirty in .5 seconds). Pairing accessories to their clothes has always been my favorite and this holiday is no different. I am torn between two adorable bows for Evelyn, so she might just have to alternate through out the day 🙂 The kids Easter outfits have been in their closets since before I knew I wanted to use them for Easter. My husband will breath a sigh of relief on that one.

Yesterday Henry and I dyed and decorated some Easter eggs (but let’s be honest, he just painted craft paper and I did all the decorating). It was a lot of fun though and I will definitely be putting a few in the baskets and in the back yard for the hunt.

We have a pretty busy weekend ahead of us with a friends dinner tonight, a play group egg hunt and family. Next week is also my last week on maternity leave (tear) so I will be soaking up baby snuggles for as long as I can before I head back to work. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

Henry’s Easter Basket

I was so excited to put together Henry’s Easter Basket this year. Since he is almost two, I was able to pick age appropriate toys that I know he would love. His basket consists of some ice cream shaped sidewalk chalk and duck bubbles from the Target dollar bin, a new chick sippy cup (also from Target), some bunny glasses and bunny ears, a chick stuffed animal, a new bunny blanket, an Easter themed book, and my favorite item: a wooden toy camera from Twig Creative. He is no stranger to the camera and even picks up mine and says “cheese” while putting it directly to his face. We are celebrating Easter in Florida this year with Henry’s grandparents. Their backyard is on the golf course so I can’t wait to scatter colored eggs all over for the egg hunt (and hoping it doesn’t throw off any golf games!) The basket I have been using for Henry was also mine growing up and I love that I can pass it down to him. I hope everyone has a great Easter filled with lots of candy!

Easter Style

This past weekend we took Henry to see the Easter Bunny and I was fully prepared for a Santa-like meltdown. Suprisingly he had no problems with the giant bunny and we even got a smile. I don’t even think Henry realized he was sitting on a large bunny until the photographer was trying to get him to smile so the bunny put his big paw (?) on Henry’s arm. He looked at the paw, then up at his face, and then turned to the photographer and smiled. It was the cutest little “aha” moment.

I had no intention of matching Henry’s bow tie to the Easter Bunny’s but it does look awfully cute. I found the shirt and bow tie combo on Old Navy for under $20. The sleeves are still a tad long on him (he’s in 18-24 month) so I rolled them up which I think looked better. Henry is finally getting some hair in and I just love making a side part with it. He is following in my footsteps in the hair department. I was nearly bald until I was two and people thought I was a boy.
shirt with bow tie / jeans: old navy (sold out similar here) / shoes: polo from last fall, sold out.
We’re so excited to do an Easter Egg hunt this year and for Henry to find his basket from the bunny. I have it all stuffed and ready and will post soon on the goodies 🙂
