Hosting parties and entertaining is something I have always loved to do. With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I love having a go-to recipe that is inexpensive, easy, and tastes delicious. Sangria is always a crowd pleaser and so simple to prepare. The cranberries and apple cider in this recipe add a festive feel and it’s great for winter months. One bottle of wine makes about 8 servings of sangria, so you can always make two batches. That is the beauty of make ahead cocktails, you can do this the night before a party!

There you have it! Pretty simply, right? All of the ingredients above can be purchased at Kroger (with the exception of the Brandy). One thing I love about Sangria is that it’s completely customizable. You can swap out the fruits for others and experiment.

I LOVE Kroger!!!! So my faaavorite Holiday drink? Shots of peppermint schnaps followed by squirting chocolate syrup in your mouth. It's the best.
Love Wente wine and LOVE sangria!!
Yum! This looks like a perfect, festive holiday party beverage. I think I'll mix up a batch for our Christmas Eve gathering!
This looks like a beautiful sangria recipe! At this moment my favorite cocktail for the holiday is this Shine Gimlet (I wrote it up here: http://www.miriinthevillage.com/2014/04/shine-gimlet.html). But its for the rare occasion because it uses moonshine which is not one of our staples. 🙂
I don't have a go to recipe but the sangria is wonderful suggestion! Email: [email protected]
This looks amazing! Totally saving for after the baby 🙂
There is truly nothing that beats a yummy sangria! Especially during the holidays!
I like to serve a candy cane cocktail:
1 shot rum (vanilla)
1 shot white chocolate liqueur
1 shot peppermint schnapps
Stir with a candy cane and leave it in the glass for a festive garnish!
I’m so trying your recipe! I love sangria!
Easy to make for the holidays!
